Metro Transit, like many businesses, has been impacted by ongoing workforce shortages that have impacted their ability to deliver reliable service for nearly 12 months. Many other transit agencies around the country are also dealing with workforce shortages, especially in the area of bus operators.
In response, Metro Transit has announced service changes scheduled for March 21, 2022, that better matches their current available workforce. In the interim, service is expected to be less frequent, but more reliable effective March 21, 2022. The final service details will be available to riders and the public in late February.

Metro Transit will make adjustments to schedules and service frequency for 18 Missouri MetroBus routes in Missouri on Monday, March 21. There are no changes to MetroBus routes in Illinois or to MetroLink train schedules.

- #70 Grand – Weekday schedule adjustments with evening service operating on 30-minute frequency and first northbound trip to begin five minutes earlier than current schedule

- #90 Hampton – Weekday schedule adjustments with peak weekday service operating on 30-minute frequency and evening weekday service operating on 40-minute frequency
- #91 Olive – Bus stop moved near Cheesecake Factory location to better serve open stores at Chesterfield Mall
- #94 Page – Weekday schedule adjustments with peak weekday service operating on 30-minute frequency, and evening weekday service operating on 40-minute frequency
- #95 Kingshighway – Weekday schedule adjustments with daytime service operating on 30-minute frequency
- #98 Ballas-N. Hanley – Weekday schedule adjustments with daytime service operating on 60-minute frequency
- #100 Hazelwood – An additional morning trip added to address passenger volume, and will serve a new bus stop at Tradeport Court on select trips
New schedules and route maps for all MetroBus routes will be available on the Metro Transit website on March 7.
