Citizens for Modern Transit Title VI policy adopted February 8, 2012

Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (PL 100.259) (Title VI), or because of a disability, as provided by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity.

Citizens for Modern Transit further assures that every effort will be made to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its programs and activities, whether those programs and activities are federally funded or not. Citizens for Modern Transit will include Title VI and ADA language in all written agreements with contractors and consultants and will monitor programs and activities for compliance.

CMT will follow the East-West Gateway Title VI program to the extent that the program is applicable to CMT as a sub-recipient of federal funds.
