CMT Offers Programs For Employees to Switch Up Their Commutes

With the St. Louis Regional Clean Air Partnership’s daily air quality forecasting season ending September 30th, we wanted to remind you of programs offered to help employees switch up their commutes.

Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program

This program is available to commuters who take public transportation, bike, or even walk to work every day. It is designed to give them peace of mind knowing that, even if they don’t have a car at their disposal, they can gain access to more immediate transportation options if a personal need arises. This includes, but isn’t limited to, personal emergencies, sickness or unscheduled overtime. Through the GRH program, commuters can utilize a ride-hailing service, like Lyft, a taxicab company or even a rental vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Commuters pay upfront for the entire cost of the ride home and then submit the receipt to CMT, which reimburses them 80 percent of the cost, up to $60 per ride. Click here to learn more.

For employees to take advantage of this offering, employers must first be registered with CMT. The process is quick and easy and can be complete here.

Try & Ride Program

With higher gas prices at the pump, this program makes it easy for those who are new to MetroLink or MetroBus to familiarize themselves with the region’s integrated system so they can get where they need to go – and do so cost effectively.

It is available to any Missouri or Illinois residents who don’t already utilize the public transit system for their workday commutes. Upon registering, each program participant receives personalized transit routes, a month of complimentary tickets, and a list of tips for using transit. The program requires riders to commit to utilizing the bus or train for one additional month at their own expense for a total of two months. Click here to learn more or register.
