Youth Transit Program Extended through 2024

The Gateway Go Youth Transit Program, which provides free MetroLink and MetroBus rides to young people 13-25 years of age in the City of St. Louis has been extended through 2024.  The program is a partnership between the City of St. Louis and Metro Transit.  Using $250,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, the program’s aim was to provide 3,000 free transit passes in 2022.  With 1,400 people obtaining passes through the program last year, the extension of the program will utilize the remainder of the original funds to keep the program running through 2024.

Program applicants must be between the ages of 13-25, reside in the City of St. Louis, and reside in a household with an income below $69,090 and/or live in a Qualified Census Tract.  Visit the Gateway Go Pass site for additional eligibility criteria and to apply for a pass.
