Via Expansion to Help With Metro Cuts Due to Driver Shortage

Due to the challenges faced by the nationwide labor shortage, Metro Transit will be making adjustments in schedules and service frequency beginning Monday, November 29th. These changes to MetroBus service are being implemented to improve service reliability and minimize or eliminate cancelled bus trips.

Metro Transit has partnered with Via to offer an on-demand transit service to help alleviate the gaps in transit that will occur due to these schedule changes. Via Metro STL will serve parts of West, South and North St. Louis County. The service allows you to hail a vehicle directly from your smartphone using the Via app, and travel to any location within the service area during operating hours.

With Via, you can travel between any two locations in one of the three service zones for $2, or with a valid Metro Transit pass, you can transfer from MetroBus or MetroLink to Via for free.

Via Metro STL can also be accessed using the Via app, the Transit app, or by calling 636.251.3328.

Additional information on how to use Via can be found at https://www.metrostlouis.org/via/
