Station Improvements to Require Three Month Closure of 8th & Pine MetroLink Station

Starting Monday, April 8, the MetroLink Station in downtown St. Louis at 8th & Pine will be closed for approximately three months. During that time, the station will undergo an enhancement project, including the installation of new staircases and other infrastructure improvements.

During the closure, MetroLink trains will not stop at the station and riders will not be able to access the station or station platform. Metro Transit will operate a Metro Shuttle bus between the 8th & Pine Station and the Civic Center Station to assist riders who are traveling to and from locations near the 8th & Pine Station. The shuttle bus will operate every 20 minutes.

Those traveling from 8th & Pine to the MetroLink system should look for the shuttle sign on Eighth Street, ride the shuttle to the Civic Center MetroLink Station, and board MetroLink at Civic Center.

Those traveling to 8th & Pine from the MetroLink system should exit MetroLink at the Civic Center MetroLink Station, look for the shuttle sign near the bus bays, and ride the shuttle to the 8th & Pine Station.

After construction on the 8th & Pine Station is complete, Metro Transit will target the Convention Center MetroLink Station as the next station to undergo an enhancement project, with plans for new staircases and other infrastructure improvements.
