Spring Ten Toe Express schedule filled with Special Walks

The Ten Toe Express program kicks off its 11th year next month, and we’ve got several special walks already on the books for program participants!

The Spring 2017 Ten Toes Express session – sponsored by AARP St. Louis and CMT — will kick off on Thursday, April 6, 2017 with a special walking tour of the Grand Center Arts District. In May, 4th year MD/Ph.D student and CMT member Mr. Umber Dube will lead the Ten Toe Express on a special tour of the Washington University Medical Center. And in June (date still TBA), the Ten Toe Express will get to “Test Out” the Loop Trolley before its Grand Opening.

Other special walks this session include AARP St. Louis’s three Saturday “Breakfast Bunch” walks: on April 15 to Our Lady of the Snows, on May 20 to Forest Perk Café (at the Forest Park Visitors Center), and on June 17 to Blueberry Hill.

Find out more details about each walk below.

CMT’s Ten Toe Express program, sponsored by AARP St. Louis, aims to help individuals live healthier lives by linking activity, sociability, and exercise with the use of transit. The program features weekly trips organized by volunteer walking group leaders that utilize both walking and transit to reach destinations around the St. Louis region. Find out more about the Ten Toe Express and the sorts of destinations we visit at tentoes.cmt-stl.org. It’s fun to be a tourist in your own hometown!

The Spring 2017 Ten Toe Express session will run 12 weeks.  Walkers must register to participate in each Spring and Fall Session.  Please contact CMT with questions at info@cmt-stl.org.
