Mobile health screenings coming to STL MetroLink Stations

metrolinkstationBi-State Development is partnering with the St.Louis County Department of Public Health to introduce a new Mobile Health Screening Unit called Links 2 Health.  The new mobile unit debuts December 1, 2017 at the Welston Transit Center located at 6342 Plymouth, St.Louis MO  63133.

The Unit will service four Metro Transit Centers in North St.Louis County.  The St.Louis County Department of Public Health will bring the mobile unit one day a week to the Wellston Transit Center, The North Hanley Transit Center in Berkeley, the Rock Road MetroLink Station in Pagedale and the North County Transit Center in Ferguson.

The health assessments that the public will benefit from include blood pressure screenings and diabetes screening at no cost for adults 18 years and older.  Adults without health insurance will receive assistance in applying for health insurance and assistance in making primary care appointments with a health care provider if follow-up is needed.
