Amtrak has announced there will be temporary service reductions coming next month to the Missouri River Runner.  Amtrak is dealing with staffing shortages impacting their ability to perform necessary preventative maintenance on the fleet of passenger coaches.  Without a full fleet of passenger coaches, Amtrak has had to schedule temporary reductions to service throughout the states since mid-summer.   Missouri service reductions will be October 24 – November 16, with trains #311 and #316 not running.  Trains #318 and #319 will continue to run as usual, as will the Southwest Chief and Texas Eagle trains.
