The mobile farmer’s market, MetroMarket Bus, is headed to the Rock Road MetroLink Station this summer to offer fresh produces to transit riders.   Beyond Housing in collaboration with Bi-State Development is providing MetroMarket bus service at the Rock Road MetroLink station on Thursday evenings from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM from June 7th-July 19th. The MetroMarket bus will be selling fresh produce, and grocery products, at affordable prices.  The MetroMarket bus also features many organic, and locally grown items and accepts all forms of payment, including EBT and Double Up Food Bucks.  The program also features periodic cooking demonstrations from Operation Food Search.BUS - Cartoon

The St. Louis MetroMarket is a non-profit mobile farmers’ market that works to provide access to healthy, affordable food to St. Louis food deserts.

The organization has transformed a donated transit bus into a grocery store on wheels to bridge physical, financial, and educational barriers in food deserts in order to increase the supply and demand for healthy foods in low-income, high need communities.
