Metro Service Change: Monday, November 28

Metro Transit will make schedule and service adjustments to MetroLink and 42 MetroBus routes in Missouri and Illinois beginning on Monday, November 28. This includes returning Blue Line MetroLink service to the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station and suspension of service on the #71 Patterson-Redman MetroBus route.

These service adjustments will improve MetroBus-MetroLink connections and should provide more reliable schedules and consistent transit service for customers.

Metro Transit, like other transit agencies and businesses throughout the nation, continues to be challenged by workforce shortages. For more than two years, it has been necessary to cancel scheduled MetroBus trips on a daily basis due to a shortage of bus operators. To improve schedule reliability and reduce the number of canceled trips, some MetroBus routes will have their service frequency temporarily reduced. This will allow for workforce resources to better match service levels and provide riders with a better transit experience and more dependable service.
