The MBTA is offering 5,000 pre-loaded Charlie Cards to students to help them get back to school without the Orange Line at this time.
The Orange Line was taken off the rails as of August 19th for maintenance during the month. During this time, students will not be punished for being late due to this issue.
As this story develops, the Boston Public Safety is also coming to terms with a plan to supply extra support staff to make sure these students are getting to school safely.
