Did you see CMT on the St. Louis Business Journal’s listing of non-profits to which you can donate on Give STL Day? Give STL Day is a 24-Hour Community-Wide Online Giving Initiative on Tuesday, May 6th, hosted by The Greater St. Louis Community Foundation. Give to CMT on Give STL Day and show the country how much St. Louis wants transit!
Give STL Day will be held in conjunction with similar fundraising efforts being organized by approximately 100 community foundations across the country and is being driven by the question, “How much money can St. Louisans raise for their favorite local nonprofits in one day?”
Previous giving day initiatives in other communities have generated as much as one million dollars for participating nonprofits. What do you think St. Louis, can we show them how it’s done?!?
On May 6, St. Louisans should visit http://givestlday.org/, search for Citizens for Modern Transit, and donate through the site. Your contributions will then be added to the ongoing tally for the region and your donations will be distributed to the specified nonprofits at the end of June. There will be giving challenges and social media pushes throughout the entire day.
So, please mark your calendars, decide how much you would like to give, and show the country how we do it in St. Louis.
