CMT’s VIRTUAL “Talking Transit” Event to Provide STL Transit Update

Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) has announced plans for a virtual “Talking Transit” event, featuring Metro Transit leaders, to be held via ZOOM at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23. Transit is essential to communities, and since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Transit has been working around the clock to implement protocols to ensure the safety and security of riders and operators. Leaders from Metro Transit will share insights on the successes and lessons learned over the last several months – as well as the plans in place to continue to move our region forward. The event is free and open to public, but pre-registration is required.

The event will feature a panel discussion with Taulby Roach, President and CEO of Bi-State Development; Kevin Scott, General Manager of Field Security for Metro Transit; and Charles Stewart, Bi-State Development Executive Vice-President of Organizational Effectiveness. Each will address separate topics of interest before answering questions.

“Metro Transit and the other transit agencies in our region have shown effective leadership and guidance in navigating through these unprecedented times,” said Kimberly Cella, executive director of Citizens for Modern Transit. “We applaud them for their  efforts and look forward to gaining greater insight into all that has been accomplished and what the future holds for transit in the region at our first-ever, virtual ‘Talking Transit’ event.”

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to tune in to hear the latest update on transit in St. Louis.
