CMT & SCCTD Features Bus #1 – the Main State Street Bus Line

getcon_windscreenOne of the best features of Metro Service in the St. Louis region is the connectivity the system provides by linking its MetroBus and train lines.  In an effort to promote the many places you can go using the system, CMT has partnered with the St. Clair County Transit District to highlight destinations along MetroBus lines in the Metro East through our “Get Connected” campaign.  To start, we’ll highlight the #1 Main State Street Bus Line.

You can catch the #1 line at the 5th and MO MetroLink station, ride it west on River Park Drive, North on Collinsvillle Road, and East on ML King.  The bus continues east on State Street and turns north on 157 where it meets the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station.  From there, it travels south on 161, then jogs to Main Street using Lebanon Road.  On Main Street, it continues south east heading to Belleville and finishes its journey at the Belleville MetroLink Station.

A few institutions along the route include the East Side High School, the Althoff High School, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.  Streets you will cross on the trip include ML King and 6th Street; ML King 25th Street; 47th and State Street; Main Street and N Belt West; Main Street and 17th Street; and Main Street and Washington.
