CMT Releases RFP for Artist for City Bus Stop Transformation

Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) in collaboration with AARP in St. Louis, and Metro Transit is transforming the bus stop at the intersection of 13th and Gravois at the entrance to Soulard into an urban oasis for riders and residents alike. The goal is to transform the existing space around the bus stop into an active, safe oasis that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the surrounding community.

Similar projects completed to date include Maplewood, Emerson Park Station and Fifth & MO in East St. Louis, Belleville Station in Belleville, IL, N. Hanley Station in St. Louis County and Fairview Heights Station which is nearing completion.

Request for Public Art Proposals

The project seeks proposals for a public art installation for the City Bus Stop project at 13th and Gravois.   The public art installation will be a key feature of the transit stop transformation project. Please see RFP below for additional information.
