CMT releases new tool for development around transit

CMT Booklet coverV2We know that development around Light Rail is the key to moving the St. Louis region and transit system forward, and CMT has released a resource to encourage  Transit Oriented Development that the region needs.  In partnership with Metro, CMT has created real estate spec sheets for the areas around all 37 MetroLink Stations.  These sheets provide an overview of demographics and land available within a half-mile radius of each station including land owned by the transit agency.  To encourage development at the sites, Metro has listed ground lease opportunities, air right opportunities, and the possibility of New Market Tax Credits where they are applicable.  Please use this, CMT’s policy briefs, and other resources from the TOD Clearinghouse liberally if you are interested in developing or seeking development around light rail stations in the region.
