CMT hires Community Engagement Director

Citizens for Modern Transit has hired Jessica Niemeyer as the new Community Engagement Director of the organization as of Feb. 1, 2012.

A Saint Louis University graduate, Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  Jessica has worked with CMT for more than one year in an internship role.   She has managed the Ten Toe Express Program for the last two sessions, and in her new position as Community Engagement Director, she will expand her role in grant program work and membership outreach.

Jessica volunteers for several community organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters and her parish.

“We are excited to welcome Jessica to the CMT staff. We think she will be a good fit and help the organization move St. Louis to the next level with regards to a good public transportation system. She is familiar with the organization, has excellent communication skills and is able to work well with CMT members, friends and constituents. Jessica is a go-getter and will have no problem jumping in with both feet to ensure the success of transit in the region,” said Kim Cella, CMT Executive Director.
