The Missouri House Subcommittee on Appropriations has offered an amendment for an additional $1,000,000 for transit assistance funding (half of MoDOT’s request) from General Revenue. This is in addition to the core funding recommended in the Governor’s budget – $560,875 State Transportation Fund and $500,000 from General Revenue. Total moving out of the committee for transit assistance is $2,060,000.
Supporters need to reach out to the Senate Appropriations Committee and its Chair Kurt Schaeffer to ensure the Senate supports the expanded amount.
