Weigh in on Importance of Transit at STLCO 2050 Public Hearing

St. Louis County 2050 outlines a comprehensive long-range vision for St. Louis County, aiming to create a sustainable, equitable, and thriving community over the next 25 years. It serves as a strategic blueprint, offering over 200 policy recommendations across land use, housing, transportation, and infrastructure. The plan is structured around Five Desired Outcomes—safe and thriving communities, fiscally responsible infrastructure, equitable growth and opportunity, strong and healthy residents, and housing options for all. It identifies Five Key Issues—population stagnation, housing affordability, job-skills mismatch, infrastructure cost burdens, and lack of complete communities—as critical challenges to address.

The county will hold a public hearing about the comprehensive plan on June 16 at 7 p.m. This hearing will be held at the County Council Chamber, located at 41 S. Central Avenue in Clayton, MO.

County residents are invited to join for a public presentation of the draft plan, as well as the opportunity to provide feedback before the Planning Commission votes to move the plan to the County Council for adoption. The June 16 hearing is a unique opportunity for residents to attend and reinforce the importance of a robust public transit system to the county.
