Metro Transit is making changes to Via Metro STL, to make it even easier for riders to travel in North and Southwest St. Louis Counties with new expanded service areas and new operating hours in North St. Louis County. These changes to Via Metro STL service go into effect today, Monday, May 3.
Via Metro STL, which launched in June 2020, is an affordable and convenient on-demand transit option that allows riders to hail a vehicle directly from their smartphone using the Via app, and travel to any location within the service area during operating hours.
North St. Louis County | Expanded Service Area and New Operating Hours
Via Metro STL service in North St. Louis County has been expanded to include more communities, including Glasgow Village, Calverton Park and other neighborhoods south of Interstate 270. In addition, operating hours for service in North St. Louis County are now 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week.
Southwest St. Louis County | Expanded Service Area
Via Metro STL service in Southwest St. Louis County has been expanded to include more key destinations, including St. Luke’s Des Peres Hospital, Dougherty Ferry Assisted Living Facility, and St. Louis County Library’s Grand Glaize Branch. The service will continue to operate from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
A single trip on Via Metro STL is only $2. Riders can combine their Via Metro STL and Metro Transit trip for just $3, which includes a single Via Metro STL trip and a mobile Two-Hour Pass that can be used on MetroBus or MetroLink.
