Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, July 31, 2013 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of MetroLink in St. Louis and the future of transit in the region. This summer marks 20 years of light rail service in St. Louis. When Citizens for Modern Transit was created in 1983, light rail was not a part of the region’s transit agenda. Now we have more than 43 MetroLink miles with 37 stations and an integrated bus system that set national ridership records.
The celebration will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Three Sixty (360), the rooftop bar and restaurant at the Ballpark Hilton, with amazing views of the downtown St. Louis skyline and a quick walk from the Stadium Station. The celebration will feature highlights of Metro’s progress over the last 20 years and information on where St. Louis’ transit will go from here.
We invite area businesses and organizations to sponsor this historic milestone for St. Louis. We are expecting more than 200 in attendance.
Sponsors will receive a listing on the CMT invitation, signage at the event, complimentary tickets for your guests, and inclusion in the follow up coverage of the event in CMT newsletters, press releases, social media, and on the website depending on the sponsorship level.
