Santa is Stopping by the Emerson Park Transit Center

The Citizens for Modern Transit, the St. Clair County Transit District and Metro Transit, will host “Oh What Fun It Is to Ride Transit” on Friday, Dec. 6, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Emerson Park Transit Center, which is located at 929 North 15th Street, East St. Louis, IL. The event is FREE and open to the public. Attendees can chat with Santa, write him a letter that will be sent to the North Pole and visit the photo booth to get a commemorative photo. Snacks will be provided, and children will receive a goodie bag while supplies last.

“We are thrilled to provide a free, fun-filled holiday event to those living in St. Clair County and throughout the St. Louis region,” said Ken Sharkey, Managing Director for St. Clair County Transit District.

From 7 to 8:30 a.m. that day, volunteers will also be at select Metro Transit Centers handing out branded, stainless-steel mugs and having riders sign up for Citizens for Modern Transit’s FREE Guaranteed Ride Home Program.
