The Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) has initiated a new, statewide public engagement effort called “On the Move” to involve citizens in determining the future of Missouri’s transportation infrastructure and investments. Largely due to funding issues, MODOT is not currently able to execute all the needed improvements to the state’s highways, bridges, railways, and greenways. Because of this, MODOT needs public input as to priorities for what needs to be done to make transportation in Missouri safe, modern, and efficient. Over the next several months, MODOT will be hosting a mobile tour, a series of Listening Sessions, and virtual forums to engage the public and find out what Missourians need and want out of their transportation system. We encourage residents to participate in “On the Move” and attend the public meeting in their area, if possible. We need to make sure MODOT knows how important transit is to Missouri commuters!
