Metro Transit’s Gateway Go Card Returns for Summer 2024

Metro Transit has announced the return of the Gateway Go Card for the summer of 2024. The pass is valid from June 1 to August 31 and costs $80. To purchase, the individual must be between the ages of 13 and 25. Valid on both MetroBus and MetroLink, the pass provides area youth the ability to move around the region independently. This initiative is made possible by Metro Transit and Bi-State Development.

The Gateway Go Card can be swiped on the MetroBus farebox or shown to fare enforcers upon request on MetroLink trains. The cards cannot be used for Via or Metro Call-A-Ride fares. To purchase, visit the MetroStore located at 801 Pine Street.  Proof of age will be requested at the time of purchase. A driver’s license, state ID, birth certificate, or passport will be accepted.

Charles Stewart, Chief Operating Officer at Metro Transit said, “The Gateway Go program is all about helping connect youth to more resources and opportunities across the region, positioning these young individuals to gain important experience that can lead to a brighter future.”
