In August, Metro ridership saw over 1.5 million boardings system-wide, with an average of 54,000 commuters boarding each week day.
Central West End MetroLink Station topped the stations for ridership close to 6,000 on an average week day. Forest Park was close behind with over 4,200 riders. Civic Center and North Hanley saw well over 3,000 riders on a daily commute basis. Shrewsbury, Stadium, Delmar, and Fairview Heights Stations’ ridership numbers all topped 2,000 riders! Countless other stations had over 1,000 riders using MetroLink/MetroBus for their daily rides. CMT is so happy to see that so many people in the St. Louis and surrounding Illinois region are choosing alternate modes of transportation for work commutes, entertainment purposes, school and so much more!
