St. Louis Earth Day Symposium – Livable Communities

Attendees will learn about sustainability practices that are changing the face of our cities and neighborhoods, while creating a positive environmental, social, and political impact in our communities. Topics include transportation, food, biodiversity and community. Through an interdisciplinary approach and networking opportunities, attendees will connect and engage with others, understand their work in a greater context and learn from peers and national experts.
Keynote speakers include Robert Garcia, Founding Director and Counsel of The City Project, an organization in Los Angeles that works on land use through community planning, climate justice, quality education, health equity and economic vitality for all; and Amelia Pape, social entrepreneur and food advocate who founded My Street Grocery, a mobile grocery that address the issue of food deserts in Portland, Oregon.
