CMT, AARP and Partners to Unveil Latest Transit Transformation in City of St. Louis

Stop before transformation

Join Citizens for Modern Transit, AARP in St. Louis, the City of St. Louis and Metro Transit as they unveil the region’s latest “Transit Stop Transformation” Project – this time at the MetroBus stop located at 13th and Gravois Ave. at the entrance to Soulard in the City of St. Louis. The event will get underway on Thursday, March 13 at 11 a.m. with formal remarks from Mayor Tishaura O. Jones of the City of St. Louis and project partners. This will be followed by a ribbon cutting and the chance for attendees to explore the transformed space and enjoy refreshments.

The “Transit Stop Transformation” project represents the 7th transformation of its kind in the St. Louis region. Transformations have also been completed at the Emerson Park and 5th & Missouri Transit Centers in East St. Louis, a MetroBus stop in Maplewood, the Belleville Transit Center in Belleville, the Fairview Heights Transit Center in Fairview Heights, and the North Hanley Transit Center in unincorporated St. Louis County.
Each project showcases a deep understanding of and commitment to equitable development around transit, the possibility of play, the ability for creative interventions to produce long-term impact for residents of all ages and the need for collaboration to succeed.

Special thanks to our partners including AARP in St.  Louis, City of St. Louis, Metro Transit, St. Louis REALTORS and Ameren Missouri.
