North Zone Service Area Changes
Metro Transit will be updating the North Zone Service area for its Via Metro STL service beginning January 5, 2025. In an effort to provide better service and improve reliability, the changes are focused on cutting down wait times, increasing vehicle availability and making the service more consistent. The North Zone will now focus on areas north of I-270 where buses don’t run as often and will eliminate the ‘evening only’ zones in Ferguson, Dellwood, and Castle Point, as well as service to North Hanley Station.
New Distance Limits for Rides
Also beginning January 5, Metro Transit will be establishing a seven-mile distance limit for Via Metro STL rides to increase ride and vehicle availability, reduce wait times and encourage commuters to utilize Metro Transit fixed-route service for longer trips.
