Citizens for Modern Transit’s Metro Monitor Program enlists riders to keep a real‑time pulse on safety and security across Metro Transit’s Transit Centers, MetroBuses, and MetroLink trains. Since its relaunch in 2020, hundreds of volunteers have submitted monthly surveys to monitor security visibility, fare inspections, station upkeep, lighting, cleanliness, rider engagement and even nuisance behavior. These insights are shared monthly with Metro Transit Public Safety and inform transit-system safety protocols.
If you’re a rider that cares about safe, clean transit, this is your chance to make a difference. As a Metro Monitor, you are eligible to receive two free Adventure Passes each month. Those passes may be used for multiple rides over the course of a day on MetroBus or MetroLink – anywhere you may need to go – before completing a quick survey about your ride. Monitors help identify areas for improvement in real time—making our region’s transit system safer for everyone.
