CMT’s next Talking Transit event, Report to the Community on the Economic Impact of Public Transit, will be held on October 22, 2019, at the St. Louis Regional Chamber Collaboration Center, One Metropolitan Square, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Citizens for Modern Transit, in partnership with the Missouri Public Transit Association and AARP St. Louis, commissioned a study to help quantify the impact public transportation has on urban, suburban and rural communities statewide.
Hear from Robert M. Lewis, FAICP, CEcD, who is an independent consultant and assistant professor of Urban Planning & Development at Saint Louis University, on the results of this first-of its-kind study including effect of public transit on the economies of Missouri and the St. Louis metropolitan region.
