Two Possible Routes Remain for St. Louis’ Green Line BRT Project

As the project management team led by HNTB continues to focus on delivering a high-quality transit solution for the Northside-Southside Corridor for the City of St. Louis, public engagement has narrowed the possible Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes down to two: one that follows Jefferson Avenue and one that follows North Florissant Avenue. Over the next couple of weeks, the public will have the opportunity to weigh in and voice their opinions on which they consider the best route. Both routes will serve downtown St. Louis with a connection at the Civic Center MetroLink Station. View the maps below and consider attending the public engagement events being held in the evenings of May 6 (in-person) and May 7 (virtual) to weigh in on the route options.

As the process moves forward, community engagement will play a key role in determining which route best balances cost, ridership potential, and long-term benefits. With two viable routes under consideration, the Green Line BRT project remains a critical investment in St. Louis’ transportation future. Public input will help shape the final outcome, ensuring the selected alignment reflects the needs and priorities of those who live, work, and travel along the corridor. The goal is to narrow the routes to one by the end of the month.
