Celebrating 42 years of moving advocacy to action in 2026
This year underscores the fact that transit matters, and transit is moving forward in this region. We will see the first opening of a MetroLink extension in 20 years to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport this summer, new technologies arriving in the region for transit including a new fare system, future growth opportunities in the Northside Southside corridor, transit stop transformations, ridership gains and more around the St. Louis transit system.
With that in mind, we are happy to announce that registration is open for the Citizens for Modern Transit 42nd Annual Meeting.
We invite you to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026 to celebrate 42 years of transit advocacy. This year’s program will highlight the importance of public transit access and recognize the individuals and initiatives making a difference across the St. Louis region. We look forward to coming together to reflect on the past year’s progress and look ahead to what’s next.
The meeting will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Marriott Grand Hotel, Crystal Ballroom, 800 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO 63101 and is accessible by transit via the Convention Center MetroLink Station.
