Metro Transit is planning on launching a new Call-A-Ride dispatching and reservation software system by the end of 2024. Metro Transit is working with Spare Labs to implement the new system which will increase scheduling efficiency and usability. The new software will be tested and Metro Transit staff will be trained on using it this fall before the new software will be officially implemented.
Metro Transit has reinstated their Accessibility Advisory Committee. They received over 175 Statements of Interest from older adults and people with disabilities interested in serving on the committee. The Selection Committee will review statements and select 15 individuals to serve on the committee. Those members will be announced in October before the first scheduled meeting of the committee in November.
