Metro Transit has announced that the Transit Access Center located at 8th & Pine in downtown St. Louis will move to a new location later this spring. May 12 will be the last day that the 8th & Pine location will be open. Remote-only service will be available between Wednesday, May 13, and Friday, May 15. The Transit Access Center will then reopen at the North County Transit Center, located at 3140 Pershall Road, on Monday, May 18.

Starting May 18, riders with disabilities or those aged 65 and older can access essential services at the North County Transit Center, including:

  • Travel Training Services: Metro’s team introduces individuals and groups to MetroBus, MetroLink, and Via Metro STL service. They help riders learn specific routes, navigate between destinations, and use tools like the Transit App to plan trips. This program is provided at no cost to transit riders.
  • Reduced Fare Permits: These permits allow seniors (65+) and riders with disabilities to pay half fare on MetroBus and MetroLink.
  • Call-A-Ride (ADA Paratransit) Eligibility: Riders with disabilities that prevent them from using fixed-route service independently can seek eligibility for Metro Call-A-Ride, Metro’s origin-to-destination service.
