To celebrate National Bike to Work Day, the St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) and Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) will host a “pit stop” at the Belleville Transit Center on Friday, May 15, from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Bicyclists can stop by to enjoy granola bars, water and learn more about SCCTD’s Summer “GO TRAILing” program.

The “GO TRAILing” program, held in partnership with CMT, encourages area residents to get outside this summer and explore the MetroBikeLink system in Illinois. From May 9 through August 8, participants of all ages can earn incentives by tracking miles spent walking, biking, wheeling, running, skating or skipping along 39 miles of interconnected trails and bike paths throughout St. Clair County.
