On December 12 we'll meet at the Shrewsbury Lansdowne I-44 Transit Center at 8:45 AM before using Metro Transit to visit the Missouri History Museum located in Forest Park. Brunch to follow.
The group will explore the new exhibit, Mill Creek: Black Metropolis. This landmark presentation resurrects the story of Mill Creek Valley. The vibrant 454-acre African American neighborhood became a casualty of “urban renewal” in the late 1950s, but was never erased from memory.
After exploring the exhibit, lunch will lunch at the Bistro serving Amighetti's fare at a reasonable price.
