Constructed in 1908, the Magic Chef Mansion is one of St. Louis' premiere old-world estates. Surrounded by two acres in the city's landmark Compton Hill Reservoir Square neighborhood adjacent to Compton Heights, this beautiful manor is an oasis of sophisticated elegance.

Designed by Ernst Janssen for the founder of the Quick Meal & Magic Chef Stove Company, this tour will give Ten Toes + Transit a unique view into the oppulence of the time.

Please meet CMT staff near the ticket vending machines on April 2 at 9:00 AM. We'll board the east bound Blue Line MetroLink at 9:28 for a short ride to Grand MetroLink Station. From there, we'll take the stairs or elevator up to Grand to catch MetroBus #70. From there, it's a quick ride and walk to the Magic Chef Mansion for our 10:30 tour.

This walk is capped at 15 participants. There is an entrance fee of $25 per person for this tour due upon arrival. The Magic Chef Mansion accepts credit, debit, and cash. If you are paying in cash the Magic Chef Mansion requests you bring the exact amount if possible as that expedites check-in and payment.
