Blue Line Service Resumes to Fairview Heights MetroLink Station

Metro Transit has announced that Blue Line MetroLink trains have resumed service to the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station as of Monday, June 22. With this service restoration, the Blue Line service is restored to its original route, operating from the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 Station in Missouri to the Fairview Heights Station in Illinois.

Since early 2025, Blue Line service has terminated at the Emerson Park Station instead of the Fairview Heights Station. This change was necessary to allow crews to address ground instability and utility relocation near the tracks. Enough work progress has been completed to allow Blue Line trains to resume their normal service starting on June 22, and riders will no longer have to transfer trains at the Emerson Park Station.
