Last week the Atlantic Cities reported in an article titled “Why Segregation is Bad for Everyone” on a study recently released by Urban Studies that examines the role of segregation in cities. The research indicates that when segregation (based on race, income level, job type, etc.) exists in a specific area, the entire region suffers. We reached out to more than 2,000 commuters at MetroLink stations and transfer centers across the region, thanking them for riding Metro and giving out Guaranteed Ride Home brochures and granola bars. CMT’s Great Race II is right around the corner
Designed to play off the CBS television hit, “The Amazing Race,” the race will place Team TRANSIT, Team BIKE, Team CARSHARE and Team CARPOOL in a head-to-head competition to see which transportation mode can travel from downtown St. Louis to Clayton the fastest.
