Special Metro Service for Mardi Gras on February 9

Take Metro to Mardi Gras this year and avoid the hassle of traffic and parking in Soulard! In order to accommodate those attending this year’s Mardi Gras celebrations in Soulard, Metro is offering special MetroLink service, shuttles, and passes. Extra trains, running every 7.5 minutes, will service MetroLink stations between Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights starting at 8:30 am and extending until 10:00 pm. MetroLink will operate on its regular service schedule outside of these stations and hours.

Metro is also offering special MetroBus shuttle service between Soulard and the Civic Center MetroLink Station. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes, dropping off and picking up passengers at the corner of 10th Street and Marion Street, near Soulard Market.

In order to use the shuttle service, a Mardi Gras MetroBus Shuttle pass must be purchased. Passes cost $5 and are valid on the shuttle between 9:00 am and 11:00 pm. They will also include a festive lanyard and a $2 off coupon for a tram ride to the top of the Arch. Please be aware that regular Metro tickets and passes cannot be used on the shuttle and the Mardi Gras MetroBus Shuttle Pass cannot be used on regular MetroBuses or MetroLink. Alcohol is also prohibited on the Mardi Gras shuttle.
