Forst Park Southeast neighborhood a great place to live near MetroLink

Forest Park Southeast neighborhood is located about a ½ mile south of the Central West End MetroLink station. The neighborhood, once forgotten and neglected in the post industrial era, has a wonderful and vast collection of 100 year old homes that have been rehabbed, or are waiting for the opportunity to be brought back to prominence.

Located within walking distance are many great amenities that surround the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood: The Central West End, BJC, Forest Park, The Hill, Tower Grove Park and the Botanical Gardens. Even though Forest Park Southeast is located near so many great areas, it also has its own burgeoning strip along Manchester Avenue that many call "The Grove." The Grove has great ethnic restaurants, pubs, cafes, and bars. With a great mix of ethnic groups, medical students, professionals, and long standing residents, Forest Park Southeast culminates into one of the most culturally diverse and eclectic neighborhoods in the city of Saint Louis.

Lately, the neighborhood has seen a lot of restoration and development from a group called Restoration St. Louis. This group led by Amrit and Amy Gill, has taken notice of this historical neighborhood and begun to assist in creating one of the most accessible neighborhoods in St. Louis. Forest Park Southeast is really in the heart of the city, and the MetroLink is just minutes away allowing you to head to the airport or downtown taking roughly the same amount of time in both directions. The houses in Forest Park South east are very appealing, and there are many single family homes, apartments, and townhouses for sale and for rent. One of the great things about Forest Park Southeast is that even with all the development and restoration activity occurring, the neighborhood still remains affordable for many income levels.

One of the most charming things about the city of St. Louis is its abundance of sized 100 year old beautiful brick homes, Forest Park Southeast is one neighborhood that has maintained this historical character while continuing to develop and restore itself to modern living ideals.
