MetroBus, formerly known as Bi-State Development Agency, celebrates 50 years of service this week. In 1963, Bi-State purchased 15 different transit companies to streamline public transport services in the region.

- It was one of the first transit agencies to operate buses with wheelchair lifts.
- It has worked through the financial struggles many other transit agencies still face.
- Our bus service now ranks among the fastest growing in the nation.
