Citizens for Modern Transit elects Julian Schuster to Board of Directors

julianThe Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) Board of Directors unanimously elected Julian Schuster, Webster University, to a two year term on the board at the March 20 CMT Board Meeting.

Dr. Schuster is Provost, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Webster University. Since taking on this position in 2010, the University has adopted a new general education curriculum, the most diverse and academically qualified freshman classes have been recruited, and a $55 million capital campaign concluded successfully.  Dr. Schuster’s efforts to make Webster a national leader in global experiential education resulted in Webster’s long-term study abroad programs being ranked in the top 10 among all U.S. master’s degree-granting institutions, and first in the same category among Midwestern institutions.

“CMT is very lucky to have the addition of Dr. Schuster to the Board of Directors. His experiences  and skill set will be an asset to the organization as we move forward. I look forward to working with him to move transit forward in the St. Louis region,” said Kim Cella, CMT Executive Director.
