Bringing Transit Message to the Capitol on Feb. 1

Before we know it, the Missouri General Assembly will reconvene for the 2012 Legislative session. There is one item that should be top priority for you and the region: Transit.  You may not ride transit, you may not know anyone who uses the bus or MetroLink; however, Missouri needs transit.  Transit creates, maintains and sustains JOBS that Missouri cannot afford to lose!

CMT will be joining organizations from across the state in Jefferson City on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 to let legislators know that transit is a top priority for CMT, the region and the state.  Join us!

We are asking CMT members and friends to join us for this day of legislative visits.  CMT is in the process of scheduling targeted visits.

The agenda for the day will include legislative visits in the morning before they go into session and then a thank you lunch for volunteers at the Capitol.  The event is free to attend, however, transportation is on your own. Please RSVP to info@cmt-stl.org if you would like to join us. Please include your mailing address and your representatives names in the email if you know them.

Amtrak service is an option to Jefferson City.  The schedule and fares are available at http://www.amtrak.com/.
